Lonesome Window
In my file of “window candidates” there is this lonesome view of a window in a brick wall. I have come across it in the past and always thought that I should toss it out as it has been used. Well, this past week I looked at it again and then checked the Media file to make sure whether it has been shown here before.
Aha, I found it! – Or so I thought. That post from September 2020 is not the same photo. So, to my archives to see what this really is. I found three photos from Savannah, taken way back in 2013, of an interesting brick wall with interesting markings. These old “smudges” showed hints of long-gone buildings that had been set against this wall. There was a crop of that lone window (the one above). And some pano-stitches of two and all three of those shots. Here they are:
I wondered if that building might still be around and how those markings might have fared. A trip to Savannah was not possible, but Google came to the rescue. Indeed, that is still what it looks like, or did last year, the Google image shows it was taken in March 2022.
