Broken Windows

My schedule for Saturday had been to go “window shopping”, but it was not to be. Destructive storms raked the South with heavy damage in places. Tornado watches were in effect all around and power and internet had sporadic interruptions.

As is often the case, I turned to my archive. In the spring of 2008 a similar weather pattern also came across this area. The Atlanta area was hit by several tornadoes. Flying debris smashed may windows in the Westin hotel tower downtown. I took this photo several months later. The broken windows were still covered with temporary patches as repairs were waiting for custom-made glass for the building.

Monday Window is a weekly blog post challenge featuring one or more photos of windows, prominently or as the main subject. Please see the sidebar.

Note to my fellow Monday Window bloggers:

Use the category Monday Window for your window posts, you can set the category for your prior posts. When I discover that you have done so (you can even let me know), I will add a link in the sidebar at the right.
