An Old Shop Window
There is a folder on my computer named “Monday Window REVIEW”. As I come across a photo tagged “window” or one that obviously shows a window I toss a copy into that folder. I have been doing that for over a year. When I don’t have a “fresh” photo for my next post, and with the pandemic that has been the norm, I look in that folder for something interesting.
There was this photo of a shop window. I looked at it and could not remember the circumstances where I took that. The photo has, of course, the date taken information, February 25, 2011, 6:19 pm. So I went back into my archive to see what I could find for that date and time. There were other photos there taken within a few minutes of each other. We were in Savannah, Georgia, at Factors Walk, the back side of River Street, with its old buildings, repurposed into hotels, restaurants, and shops. The address is clearly visible on the transom window of the door.
Here are a couple more photos from that shop.
The tobacco shop is still there today, but Southern Exposure is gone. The space is now Cafe M. Hopefully we can visit there soon and enjoy a latte and a French treat.
Monday Window is a weekly blog post challenge featuring one or more photos of windows, prominently or as the main subject. Please see the sidebar.
