Windows of the HMS Bounty

This week we remember the Tall Ship HMS Bounty. It was just eight years ago that this beautiful ship was lost to hurricane Sandy.

She had visited Savannah that May and it turned out to be my last visit on this magnificent reconstruction for the movie “Mutiny on the Bounty”.

Windows of Peacemaker

Peacemaker is a barquentine, a 150 foot “tall ship”, with over 10,000 square feet of sails. She also has two diesel engines. The ship was launched in 1989, so she is a relatively modern sailing vessel.

Here you can see the control panel with lots of little windows. Also two of the windows for looking out on the world.

A couple of additional views from that visit some 11 years ago in Savannah. The Peacemaker on the river front in Savannah along a small sailer and a much more modern cargo vessel on the river. Also a look into the rigging of the Peacemaker.

One more. The windows of the parlor with a musical group performing.
